Sports Day is Rescued!

One day, a boy named Alan, was on his way back home from L.I.S, Lund International School. He lived in Sweden. He was so excited to reach home and share what had happened that day, the 31st of May 2043. He was excited that he started running for a while until he was out of breath. He rushed to his house and got changed, had a shower and sat down to eat his snack with milk. His parents sat down too.

“Mom, Dad, do you know what happened today?” he asked with a smile.

“No,” they replied. This is what Alan told them…

“As you already know, today was sports day and I performed pretty well. It was loads of fun! We had burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and hot dogs for lunch. We ate ice cream for dessert. Then we played a bit and just as we got prepared for the next game, the ground began to shake, an earthquake!  A big crack formed in the ground, Ms. Zarah the receptionist and a few other children fell into the crack!

I looked in the crack with horror. I saw lava but thankfully Ms.Zarah and the children fell on a ridge. The ridge looked like it was about to fall into the lava. Suddenly, a crack appeared and the whole ridge fell down.

Then, there was a loud WHOOSH as something entered the crack at high speed. The next thing I remembered was a man, dressed in blue but had red boots and a red cape. He had a plate on his chest which read, ‘U-man’…” he said.

“Now come on darling, you know superheroes aren’t real,” his mom interrupted.

“Let him,” said his dad. Therefore, he continued…

“So as I was saying, the U-man was carrying the whole ridge with the receptionist and the rest of the children. He winked at me before diving into the crack once more. Suddenly, the crack started closing and at the last second, U-man flew out so fast that my clothes ruffled. It was so amazing,” said Alan.

Later that day, Alan’s dad called him and his mother to show them something. It was the news. It was about the U-man rescuing sports day. Alan just stood there, grinning.

The End
